Guys…I’m very proud of what I saw yesterday watching PlayStations E3 game showcase. In my opinion, almost every single game that was shown…was awesome! “Monster Hunter World” looks absolutely stunning, “Destiny 2” made my jaw drop and “Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite” had me giggling like a little school girl lol. Here is U.P. Top 5 pick from E3, with a little help from Polygon.
5. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds(Published by Phillip Kollar 6/12/2017
“During the PlayStation E3 2017 media briefing, Sony revealed a trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn’s first major bit of downloadable content. Titled “The Frozen Wilds,” the DLC appears to take place in a new region full of snow and, of course, deadly robot dinosaurs.
The DLC appears to put players back into the shoes of main game protagonist Aloy, though it’s unclear if it takes place during or after the events of the main game. It will be story-based, however, and either way, it looks like various new weapons, enemies and types of armor will be available throughout the course of the new content.”
4. Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite(Published by Jeff Ramos 6/12/2017)
“Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite unveiled a brand new host of characters while showing off what looked like more footage from the game’s story mode. The story mode detailed a handful of characters meeting at Stark Tower to end the threat brought on by Ultron-Sigma.
A handful of uneasy alliances look like they’ll be made to take down this game’s villain in the story mode. To fight off this otherworldly threat, Marvel and Capcom showed off which new characters would be joining the fight.
The new characters shown off during PlayStation’s E3 2017 media briefing were Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova, Doctor Strange, Thanos, Zero from the Mega Man X games, Dante from the Devil May Cry, Arthur, Spencer from Bionic Commando and Black Panther.
Capcom also announced that a story demo would be available today, and the company confirmed that the game is set to launch September 19.”
3. Destiny 2(Published by Dave Tach 6/12/2017)
“Destiny 2 will arrive Sept. 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One — two days before the previously announced Sept. 8 release date.
Destiny 2 will get a beta this July on consoles, and in August on Windows PC, Activision announced today.
The beta for Destiny, which offered players a glimpse at the early game, took place in July 2014, a little less than two months before the game’s release date. Following a small public alpha in June 2014, more than 4.6 million players participated in the Destiny beta, which was available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. By the end of July, Bungie opened up the beta, so that those without codes could participate.
Each of Destiny’s three classes were available, and players could level up several times. The beta also allowed players to experience a handful of story missions, the Crucible and a strike.
Other PS4 exclusives for Destiny 2 include the “Lake of Shadows” strike, unnamed gear, the “City Apex” ship, the “Borealis” exotic weapon and the “Retribution” PvP map.”
2. Call of Duty: WW2(Published by Charlie Hall and Colin Cambell 6/12/2017)
“Sony’s E3 press conference was light on details for the new Call of Duty: World War 2, but it did show off a gritty new trailer highlighting the game’s multiplayer mode.
Call of Duty: World War 2 takes players back to the European theater in 1944 and 1945, and features an American platoon as well as a cast of side characters including women resistance fighters, a soldier in an African-American unit (the U.S. Army was still segregated in WWII), a British officer and even a child. Its story is told from the point of view of Ronald “Red” Daniels, a rookie Private in the United States Army, 1st Infantry Division, also known as the “The Big Red One” and “Fighting First.”
The 1st ID is still an active division and has fought in every major U.S. conflict except the Korean War.
This is the first game to be set in World War 2 since 2009’s Call of Duty: World at War. The series was originally set in WWII but more recent games have focused on other time-frames, most particularly the future. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, it’s due to be released on Nov. 3 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.”
1. Spiderman(Published by Susana Polo 6/12/2017)
“At today’s Playstation press conference at E3, Insomniac Games unveiled a deeper look at the developer’s first licensed game, featuring the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler himself. The game now has an official title, Spider-Man.
The footage featured Spider-Man in his unique in-game costume, featuring a white spider emblem. Spidey leapt, ran straight up walls, webbed bad guys and took advantage of his environment in a way reminiscent of the Arkham franchise — though with considerably more direct sunlight and witty repartee — to take out a gang encroaching on the territory of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin. It even looked like his characteristic spider-sense was employed to allow him to dodge blows.
And a stinger at the very end of the press conference confirmed the appearance of another Spider-Man entirely: Miles Morales.“
“Spider-Man was first revealed to be in development at E3 2016. “Is Spider-Man a signal of things to come? Oh, yes. Absolutely,” Jay Ong, Marvel’s vice president of games told Polygon at the time, “And we can’t wait to tell the world about it.”
Those “things” that have come in the past year included the reveal and release of Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy and the announcement of Square Enix and Marvel Entertainment partnering for an entire series of Avengers-based games.
Insomniac’s Spider-Man will not tie into any particular cinematic version of Spider-Man, featuring a “more seasoned” Spider-Man than other adaptations, as well as his alter-ego, Peter Parker.
At the end of this footage, the game’s release window was given as 2018. It will be exclusive to PlayStation 4.”
