No Man’s Sky: NEXT| PlayStation Hub

Hey there Hub Nation! No Man’s Sky’s update “Next” is going to be released in the next 3 days. Normally, I try not to let other peoples opinions sway me(Los) from getting a game that I want. I’m that guy that will buy it if I like it, and return it if it’s not my cup of tea. What I’m saying is…When “No Man’s Sky” first came out I was going to buy it. I read and watched a review on No Man’s Sky on YouTube and hundreds of people who bought the game were very disappointed! Lefty(Co-owner) asked me if I was going to purchase the game and stream it to our channel PlayStation Hub. After talking to him and reading this article from The Verge, I became very interested once again. Here is the article I read and hopefully you will give “No Man’s Sky a second chance. Multiplayer Update(published by Patricia Hernandez 7/17/18)

“When sci-fi game No Man’s Sky launched in 2016, it was one of the most anticipated games of its generation. Developer Hello Games boasted that every single element of the game, from the rocks to the fish, would be procedurally generated for players rather than tailor-made by the creators. People believed it would be the ultimate game that you could explore with friends. That wasn’t exactly the case at the time (a fact that caused widespread disappointment). But two years later, an update promises that it will finally help realize part of what fans were fantasizing about in the first place.

Initially, players couldn’t directly meet up in No Man’s Sky: you could interact with things that other players had discovered across the universe, but that was it. Players would try to meet up, only to find they were occupying the same space on the same planet without being able to see each other. In later updates, players could share bases with one another, leave each other messages, and eventually directly talk to one another if certain circumstances were met. However, it was not true multiplayer: other users existed as floating orbs that could only talk and nothing else.”

“On July 24th, that will change with a No Man’s Sky’s update codenamed “Next.” You’ll be able to see the bodies of other players, which means that you can explore spaces together, both on foot and in the skies. Based on the trailer that was released today, it seems that players will be able to engage in dogfights together as well. Hello Games is calling this its biggest update yet, and it’s free to anyone who owns the game.”

Hello Games Original Announcement

“You’ll be able to explore the universe with your friends, or bump into random travellers. You can help friends to stay alive, or prey on others to survive. Your group can build anything from tiny shelters to complex colonies spanning planets, and everything is shared online for others to visit. Fight as a pirate or a wingman in epic space battles with friends and enemies. Race exocraft across weird alien terrains, creating race tracks or maybe just scenic trails to share online.”

Hello fellow PlayStation Hub fans

I wanted to do a quick intro of myself so that all of you can know a little bit more about your new Community Manager Per Se. So here goes: my name is Ivan I live in Sacramento California born in Mexico, I have a 19 month old son and work full time graveyard so i haven’t had much time for gaming. But currently I’ve been obsessed with Rainbow Six Siege and GTA V (looking forward to Monster Hunter World that just released.) I play just about any and every genre of games but shooters being my forte.

I am really excited to see PlayStation Hub grow into a great community of like minded individuals. I want to thank Carlos and Lefty for letting me be a part of this adventure and i cannot wait to see what the future holds for us.

Thank You all
